Weekly Photo Challenge: Beginning

photo[4]Every year on the way to our summer holiday destination we stop at the Victoria / New South Wales border. This always marks the official beginning of our annual summer vacation in Merimbula, a beautiful seaside town on the Southern New South Wales coast. And every year, in the excitement of having reached the border, the boys do a Toyota “Oh what a feeling” photo. This year, more than ever before, there has been such excitement and joy at the prospect of returning to Merimbula. 2013 was a tough year for the whole family; it’s now time to rest, relax and rejuvenate with nothing to worry about each day except which beach we will go to and where will we eat. No wonder the boys are happy.

I love the Vic NSW border, wonderful scenery, friendly folks. My wife died from complications of chemotherapy for terminal breast cancer nearly two years ago. She enjoyed her visits to Australia too. Great photo, by the way. We were in a rent-a-roughie Ford Estate, with our three girls.
