Weekly Photo Challenge: Object

photoWhat a fabulous weekend we have had. We are not Chinese, but still love to celebrate the Chinese New Year. This year, the Year of the Horse, we stayed in the city and joined in the festivities, witnessing the spectacle of this beautiful object; the Docklands Dragon. This magnificent dragon is over 10 metres high and 100 metres long, and took many weeks to be constructed.

It was a weekend of sweltering heat with a hot summer night that made hanging out on the banks of the Yarra River so pleasurable – it was close to 1AM before we and the kids found ourselves back in our hotel room. Fun, fun, fun!

Happy New Year!
