All 5 weeks of our vacation around Europe and Singapore were an adventure, but the craziest night was the night of my birthday. The dinner cruise finished after 11pm but we decided it would be fun to get a night-time photo, on my birthday, at the Eiffel Tower. It was raining, it was cold, and it took more than an hour of wandering the streets of Paris to hail a cab to take us to the Tower. This wind-blown, bedraggled photo was taken by my brother just before 1am, literally minutes before the lights of the Eiffel Tower were turned off for the night.

Thank you! I have to admit, that is exactly what I kept telling myself at the time when we were wet, cold and so tired 🙂

Happy belated birthday and glad you got the shot before the lights went to sleep for the night! Lovely family shot!

Thanks Connie. Yes, it would have been awful to go to all that effort and arrive just after the lights were turned off!
